"My mother died of Alzheimer's disease, and a close friend has macular degeneration. I know what my mother went through, how my friend lives, and how their friends and family have been affected. We urgently need to find cures for these diseases. BrightFocus funds basic research to do this. Serving on the BrightFocus Board is my small way of contributing to this necessary work."
