Jon Walsh
Jon Walsh, Senior Vice President, Finance and Administration, is a mission- and results-driven finance executive with over 25 years of experience. His expertise spans various areas including strategic and operational planning and forecasting, accounting, domestic and international operations/HR, board relations, and process improvement.
Most recently, Jon served as the Chief Financial Officer at Symplicity Corporation in Arlington, Virginia, where he provided strategic and operational leadership for all financial and legal aspects of the international educational technology organization.
Before Symplicity Corporation, Jon was Chief Financial Officer at Homesnap. He has held increasing levels of financial roles and responsibilities, including over 12 years at Blackboard Inc., a worldwide leader in education technology, in which he took an active financial role in its IPO in 2004 and go-private transaction with Providence Equity in 2011.
Jon began his career at Ernst & Young in McLean, Virginia, after graduating from James Madison University with a bachelor's in business administration. He has served on the Finance Committee of the nonprofit Tech Impact since 2014, supporting its mission to ensure all nonprofits can use technology to better serve our world.
