Biography
James Hurley is a Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Washington, Seattle. He played a critical role in the discovery of transducin, a G-protein that is critical for phototransduction and one of the first G-proteins to be discovered. He was a pioneering influence in the study of metabolism of the retina. Jim enjoys bird photography and Seattle staircases.
