Biography
Dr Zhichao Wu is an an optometrist and senior research fellow at the Centre for Eye Research Australia (CERA) and Ophthalmology, Department of Surgery, The University of Melbourne, Australia. He completed his PhD at The University of Melbourne in 2014 and was awarded the Dean’s Award for Excellence in the PhD Thesis. He was subsequently awarded the prestigious NHMRC Neil Hamilton Fairley Overseas Clinical Research Fellowship and undertook research fellowships at the University of California, San Diego and Columbia University. His research focuses on developing innovative diagnostics and outcome measures for eye diseases in order to prevent irreversible loss and expedite the discovery of new treatments.
