Current Organization
Boston University
Biography
Dr. Gong is Professor of Ophthalmology, Anatomy and Neurobiology at Boston University School of Medicine, MA, USA. Her research is focused on understanding the mechanisms that regulate aqueous humor outflow resistance in normal eyes and how this resistance is increased in the eyes with ocular hypertension and primary open angle glaucoma using physiological and morphological methods to provide new insights for developing new therapeutic strategies to treat this disease. Dr. Gong’s current research is supported by NIH/National Eye Institute, BrightFocus Foundation, and Massachusetts Lions Eye Research Fund.
